Update: The car may be dead

It's still running fine, but some dashboard lights indicate that there's a problem somewhere in the bowels of the machine. My mechanic spent a couple of hours on it, and admited that he has no idea what's the matter. His exact words: "I don't know everything."

I told him that I understand, that he is but a mere mortal.

So, the car is weak and thready. Stay tuned.
